Woman thinkingWoman thinking

We can help you get back on track

Being made redundant is one of the most disappointing and stressful periods in a person’s life. Even people who have used redundancy as the catalyst for change and development in life will have experienced concerns and doubt over what was happening next.

If you are being made redundant, you will have a lot of questions. Hopefully, there is a support mechanism in place to provide you with immediate support. You are entitled to certain benefits and assistance when you have been made redundant, so hopefully, this can remove some of the immediate stress of the situation.

You will likely need emotional support because the blow of redundancy impacts people in different ways. If you feel as though you need assistance or guidance, make it a priority to receive this help. Taking good care of your mental health is essential, particularly when you have experienced a shock like redundancy. If you are focused on your well-being, you will find it easier to take practical steps in getting your career back on track or in finding a new job.

When you have so many things to consider, managing to find a balance is tough, but it is essential. You will need to think about getting a new job, and this is where Global Solution Services provide you with adequate support. While we are happy to talk to you about all manner of areas regarding redundancy issues, helping you find a job and get your career back on track is something we specialise in.

Do you need help in searching for a job?

It may be you haven’t searched for a job in a long time, or perhaps you haven’t searched for a job at all. The nature of job searches has changed considerably in recent times, so don’t panic if you feel out of touch. You are not alone when it comes to feeling confused about what is required to find a new job, but we can help.

Online job portals, social media and traditional routes like newspaper listings are all valid for job-searching. Being proactive in your searches will enhance your chances of finding something suitable, but knowing where to look is an ideal starting point.

CVs and applications

Much like the job search process, applying for jobs has evolved considerably in recent times. If you haven’t constructed a CV recently or you haven’t completed an online job application, you may feel bewildered by the process.

Once you have worked through a few applications, you will see that there is nothing to be scared of. However, you need to take this first step, and this is why many people benefit from calling on an expert for guidance.

Running through mock applications or completing a form alongside a professional increase your chances of making a positive impact, hopefully enhancing your chances of finding a job.

Are you confident about the interview process?

For some candidates, the interview process is the most challenging aspect of finding a job after redundancy. It is natural for people to feel nervous or uncertain about themselves and their capabilities at a time like this. However, if you want to create the best impression, you need to feel confident about what you offer.

Running through the interview process, knowing where your talents lie and working on ways to present yourself will enhance your chances of success when it comes to the interview process.

Being made redundant is terrible, but it doesn’t have to mean the end of your working life. If you are keen to get your working career back on track after being made redundant, speak with Global Solution Services and we will be more than happy to help you.
