A National Careers Service Provider
GSS are a proud‘National Careers Service’ provider and under the National Careers Service we offer employability, careers and job search information, advice and guidance to the unemployed or economically inactive, as well as those at risk of redundancy.
National Careers Service provides a wealth of services and support including:
- 1-2-1 advice sessions
- CV Development
- Interview preparation
- Pro-active job searching in our current labour market
- Training needs analysis
- Bespoke webinars
- Career building workshops
– Our qualified Advisors are based within many Job Centre Plus offices and in a diverse range of local outreach venues so that we are widely accessible to all who could benefit from the National Careers Service.
National Careers Service helps a diverse range of people– we have expertise in delivering effective careers and employability services to a wide range of customers, including those experiencing short-term and long-term unemployment, lone-parents, carers, those currently excluded from the labour market due to disability, and those at risk of redundancy.
National Career Service has a high success rate– we are incredibly proud that over 50% of our customers have successfully returned to work or taken their preferred next step after accessing our service as a direct result of the quality and effectiveness of the service we offer.

GSS have previously worked with the DWP providing Job Search Support and Response to Redundancy provision to Professionals and Executives. We also work with a number of other Government agencies providing Employability and training services though Skills Funding Agency. We work as a National Careers Service Provider for the London area and have provided this service for the last 6 years.
Training Centre
GSS are a recognised Training centre and are accredited through NCFE and OCN to deliver Level 1 and Level 2 courses in a variety of vocational subject headings.
Matrix Accreditation
The matrix Standard is a unique quality standard for organisations to assess and measure their advice and support services, which ultimately supports individuals in their choice of career, learning, work and life goals GSS are proud holders of the matrix accreditation for the over 6 years.
CDI Registration
GSS are proud members of the Career Development Institute who’s aims are to support members to maintain their professionalism with Career information, advice and guidance; career coaching, career consultancy and career management.
